Christmas Lights Run – Monday December 15th

On Monday (15th December) we're trying to get all groups to run to see the Brailsford Lights (http://www.brailsfordlights.co.uk/).

The route you take will depend on the group you're running with and as it may be a little bit further than some groups normally run, and if you have children running in the junior groups, please make sure that they are OK for the later return to Coombe Dingle.

The Brailsford Lights are set-up to raise money for the Wallace and Gromit Grand Appeal for Bristol Children's Hospital, so please remember to take a donation along with you on the night.

If you want to wear something festive please do.

It will also be the final Monday night training session of 2014.

Members of the month for December

Your members of the month for December are Anthony Glover and Aidan Noble.

Anthony had the honour of representing Northern Ireland in the recent British & Irish Masters Cross Country event where he was the first runner home for Northern Ireland.

Aidan has been putting together a great series of runs lately with a parkrun pb.

If you’ve been unsuccessful in getting a place for the 2015 London Marathon, the club has this year been granted 5 places (thanks to our partner club Yate AC for their place). The eligibility and rules for the draw are as follows:

- only fully paid-up members of Westbury Harriers and Yate AC are eligible.
- priority will go members who didn't get a club place last year (2014 London Marathon) and can prove that they applied again unsuccessfully this year.
- otherwise, priority goes to members who didn't get a place this year.

To enter the club draw send an email with proof of your rejection (if applicable) to club secretary Geraint Torrington  - secretary@westburyharriers.co.uk , see him at training on Monday nights or send details to 41A Sherbourne Avenue, Bradley Stoke, Bristol, BS32 8DX.

The provisional date for the draw is after training during the club supper on Monday, December 8th
