Re : Avon 5k Club Relay Championships  Sunday 28th August. 11am at Cleeve Cricket Club, Bristol.

Please contact me if you would like to run in the Avon 5k road relay championships . I will then put in the entries.

The event is on the Bank Holiday so, if you're not going away, this will be a good running and social event.

4 runners needed for Vet 40.   3 needed for Vet 50 and Vet 60.

As an incentive I have negotiated support from Lindt chocolate for the Vets teams ! Trying the local brewery as well !

Just see me at Blaise or e mail me.

Charity Club Run – Monday 22nd August

Monday 22nd August sees the return of our annual charity club run. This years charity is BAKPA - Bristol Area Kidney Patients Association Charity. It is fantastic night, where everyone turns out in their club kit and goes on a mass run altogether. (see photo above) All the gate money we collect on the night goes to the collection. After the run, there is a cake sale in the club hut, where donations are taken. So get the date in your diary and don't forget to bake!!

Mobmatch 10k / Sri Chinmoy Relays

Scott has posted a reminder about the Mobmatch 10k on Friday. Hope we'll have a good turnout of vets.

There are also some relays at Eastville Park on Tuesday 19th  evening.

The 3x1 mile relay Sri Chinmoy event is open to any team of three runners  "loads of fun - the highlight of the series!".

Juniors (age under 16) can enter races FREE of charge (but still compile an entry form).

Be good to have a couple of vets teams running.

TrustFord 2016 Westbury Wipeout Results

Well done to everyone who completed the TrustFord 2016 Westbury Wipeout, and a big BIG THANK YOU to all our volunteers, who made this great event happen.  Provisional results, in order of appearance, can be downloaded here.  We didn't take finishers times this year, but for interest the first boy home got round in 14:25, the first girl in 15:51, and the first under 10 in 11:21.

WESTBURY WIPEOUT : IMPORTANT MESSAGE ABOUT ADULT TRAINING

The 5th edition of the Westbury Wipeout takes place on Monday 11th July 2016. The event is growing year on year and, for the first time, this year's race has sold outperformed to the event!

For this one evening each year, Monday night training is dedicated to junior athletes. To make the evening as successful as it has been in past years, we need as many adults as possible to assist with marshalling and other duties, or simply out to support the juniors as they battle the tough course. As such, there will not be any adult groups running.

If you are available to help, in whatever way, please contact Carol Fee who will be coordinating volunteers. Carol can be emailed at volunteers@westburyharriers.co.uk. Volunteers will be needed from 6.30p.m. onwards.

Training will resume, as normal, on 18th July.

Westbury Wipeout Entry Limit Reached

The entry limit of 300 has just been reached for the Westbury Wipeout, so unfortunately we cannot take any more entries.  If you are coming to this event (next Monday), either as a participant or helper, be aware that parking may be tight, so allow plenty of time.  Carol Fee would love to hear from adult members who can help out on the night, especially if you can get there early.  Our regular youngsters who are 15-19 would be welcome as embedded runners - please email me (Neil) if you can do this.
